MADELEINE OAKLEY
My research uses ultrasound tongue imaging and L2 speech data to explore the representation of speech sounds. My primary research interests include second language acquisition, perception and production of non-native phones, articulation, and laboratory phonology. I received my PhD from Georgetown University in May 2021, and recently completed an NSF postdoc fellowship at North Carolina State University. I will be starting a position as an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Arlington in the Spring of 2026.
